Gerade erst brachte der Ex-Leverkusen-Coach den Brasilianer Rodrygo (24) wieder in die Spur. Der hatte sich über wenig Spielzeit und schwindende Bedeutung für das Team beschwert – und das sogar noch vor der Alonso-Ankunft. Mittlerweile hat Rodrygo seinen Abschiedswunsch wohl wieder einkassiert, will sich bei den Königlichen durchbeißen.
Jetzt ist Edel-Techniker Dani Ceballos mächtig angefressen! Er kam im ersten Gruppenspiel der Klub-WM beim 1:1 gegen Al-Hilal nicht zum Einsatz. Er durfte sich lediglich warm machen. Die spanische „Sport“ berichtete von einer „großen Enttäuschung“, die Ceballos spüre.

Angeblich hat Alonso bisher noch nicht mit dem Ex-Nationalspieler (13 Länderspiele) geredet. Seit 2017 spielt Ceballas für Real Madrid. Von 2019 bis 2021 war er an den FC Arsenal ausgeliehen. Seitdem wartet er auf seinen Durchbruch zum Stammspieler.
Gegen Al-Hilal erhielten die Jungstars Arda Güler und Victor Munoz sowie Oldie Luka Modric (wird im September 40) bei den Einwechslungen den Vorzug.
Um Ceballos ranken sich schon lange Wechselgerüchte. Zuletzt wurde über eine Rückkehr zu seinem Heimatverein Betis Sevilla spekuliert. Problem: Betis kann die geforderte Ablöse für Ceballos (Marktwert: 10 Mio. Euro) nicht stemmen.

Es ist wahrscheinlich, dass die Situation sich für ihn auch in der kommenden Saison nicht großartig verändern wird. Schließlich suchen die Königlichen weiter nach Verstärkungen für das Mittelfeld. Ganz oben auf der Liste: Stuttgarts Angelo Stiller.
