Skok o takřka sto míst a vystrašené soupeřky. Vondroušová oživuje magii lichých let

Týden před Wimbledonem si 25letá hráčka pozvedla sebevědomí třetím triumfem na okruhu WTA v kariéře. Ostatně i ten první z Bielu je z lichého roku 2017. O dva roky později se Vondroušová senzačně dostala do finále Roland Garros, za další dva roky přivezla stříbro z olympiády v Tokiu a předloni triumfovala v All England Clubu.

Trofej z německé metropole znamená pro bývalou světovou šestku také zásadní posun v žebříčku WTA. Dlouhodobé zdravotní problémy a absence na turnajích přitom poslaly Vondroušovou až na 164. příčku, ale po vydřeném vítězství nad Číňankou Wang Sin-jü (7:6, 4:6, 6:2) se vyšvihne o takřka stovku míst – na 73. příčku!

„Pro liché roky vysvětlení nemám, ale musíme si uvědomit, že Markéta měla časté potíže se zdravím. Pokud je stoprocentní, pak je úplně jedno, jestli jsou to liché nebo sudé roky,“ řekl Sport.cz manažer Vladislav Šavrda z pražského klubu I. ČLTK, kde se vítězka z Berlína připravuje.

Loni Vondroušová předčasně ukončila sezonu kvůli operaci ramena, ale vzhledem k přetrvávající bolesti musela na tři měsíce přerušit i aktuální sezonu. Nadějně se ale vrátila na Roland Garros, kde postoupila do 3. kola. A teď ukazuje, proč je kdysi nemilovaná tráva jejím patrně nejoblíbenějším povrchem.

„Markéta do Berlína odcestovala s tím, že má velice těžký los, a sama říkala, že toužila vyhrát jedno kolo. Nakonec je z toho vyhraný turnaj, na kterém ztratila jen dva sety. Výkony byly neuvěřitelně kvalitní a forma rostla,“ potěšilo Šavrdu.

Vondroušová postupně přemohla americkou vítězku Australian Open Madison Keysovou, Rusku Dianu Šnajderovou, Tunisanku Uns Džábirovou a v semifinále nenechala nadechnout světovou jedničku Arynu Sabalenkovou.

„Skvělý taktický výkon,“ ocenil Šavrda. „Eliminovat tenis Bělorusky dokáže málokdo. Když s ní budete hrát rány, tak prohrajete. Ale Markéta měnila rytmus, hrála čopované míče, údery s boční rotací a servis na tělo.“

I když se ve finále Vondroušová utkala se soupeřkou ze 49. místa na světě, hrálo se od podlahy. „Vynikající úroveň,“ souhlasil Šavrda. „Způsob, jakým se Wang dostala do finále, byl impozantní. Vždyť porazila Kasatkinovou, Gauffovou, Badosaovou i Samsonovovou.“ Ale na variabilitu Vondroušové Číňanka nevyzrála. I když klíčové chvíle zápasu proběhly už v tie breaku první sady, kdy česká tenistka odvracela šest setbolů.

„Markéta má teď na zápasy takového charakteru nervy. Prohrávat v tie breaku na trávě 2:6, to už je prakticky hotovo. Ale ona zahrála vynikající míče a taky si pomohla podáním, což třeba v minulých letech nebývalo,“ připomněl šéf z ČLTK.

Příští týden bude Vondroušová cizelovat formu a pak už ji čeká Wimbledon. Očekávání nejen českých fanoušků jsou zase ohromná. V takové formě, jakou má Maky, moc hráček aktuálně není. A nasazené tenistky se dost obávají, aby na úvod nevyfasovaly právě vítězku z roku 2023.

„V ženském tenise je všechno strašně nevyzpytatelné. Před turnajem v Berlíně vůbec nic nenasvědčovalo tomu, že by Wang měla uspět. A ona po kvalifikaci porazila čtyři špičkové hráčky v řadě… Hodně bude záležet na losu, který může být těžký. Potěšitelné ale je, že je Markéta zdravá. A pak může naplno předvést, co dokáže. Formu má úžasnou,“ těší se už na travnatý grandslam Šavrda.
