Ousmane Diomande é, neste momento, um dos defesas mais cobiçados da Europa, e o seu nome começa a surgir com insistência nos bastidores do mercado de transferências. Real Madrid, Chelsea e Crystal Palace são três dos clubes que estão atentos ao internacional costa-marfinense, sendo que este último deve mesmo fazer chegar a Alvalade uma proposta formal nos próximos dias. Segundo o ‘Record’, contudo, o Sporting não aceita negociar o seu passe por menos de 60 milhões de euros.
O central, de 21 anos, terminou a época em alta ao serviço dos leões e viu o seu valor de mercado atingir o ponto mais alto da carreira: 45 milhões de euros. A valorização de Diomande, de resto, tem sido autenticamente meteórica. Contratado pelo Sporting em janeiro de 2023 ao Midtjylland por 7,5 milhões de euros, após uma curta mas marcante passagem por empréstimo pelo Mafra, o defesa chegou aos verde e brancos com um valor de mercado de apenas 400 mil euros. Desde então, afirmou-se rapidamente na equipa leonina, demonstrando qualidades físicas e técnicas que fizeram dele peça-chave nas conquistas dos dois últimos campeonatos nacionais.
Tal como se pode constatar no gráfico disponibilizado acima, em cerca de dois anos e meio Diomande multiplicou em mais de 100 vezes o seu valor de mercado desde que foi contratado pelo Sporting, tornando-se num dos ativos mais valiosos não só do clube, mas também da Liga Portugal Betclic. Apesar de ter contrato com o Sporting até 2027 e uma cláusula de rescisão de 80 milhões de euros, promete ser um dos nomes que vai agitar a próxima janela de transferências, dada a cobiça de que tem sido alvo recentemente.
Independentemente do futuro imediato e do que aconteça neste verão, o percurso de Diomande já é um verdadeiro caso de estudo no que à valorização de talento diz respeito, sendo igualmente um exemplo claro da capacidade do Sporting em identificar e potenciar jovens promessas.
