Abel Braga, dono de uma grande experiência, acompanhou diversos craques ao longo dos anos. Convicto de que Pelé é o maior craque de todos os tempos, o profissional multicampeão não vê Lionel Messi ocupando o posto de segundo melhor. Isso porque o legado de Garrincha, segundo o discurso veiculado na Record, perde apenas para o desempenho do Rei do Futebol.
Além de Messi, Abel Braga destacou outros gênios dos gramados que fizeram história, mas não superaram Pelé e Garrincha. Neste cenário, apesar do número de Bolas de Ouro do argentino, campeão mundial em 2022, o ex-treinador sequer abriu um debate sobre os dois primeiros lugares do ranking.
“Nós tivemos o melhor do mundo. O Pelé foi o melhor. Quem foi o segundo melhor? Foi o Garrincha. Claro que tem Maradona, Neymar, Zico, Ronaldinho Gaúcho, Ronaldo Fenômeno… muita gente boa. O Messi é um cara que ganhou sete Bolas de Ouro de melhor jogador do ano. Mas, para mim, o segundo melhor foi o Garrincha.”, disse Abel Braga, no Esporte Record.
Zinho coloca Ronaldinho Gaúcho acima de Messi
Participando do debate, Dodô e Zinho discordaram em relação ao status de Messi. Enquanto o “artilheiro dos gols bonitos” acredita que o camisa 10 é o melhor jogador que acompanhou no futebol, o tetracampeão do mundo pela seleção, ao realizar uma comparação com Ronaldinho Gaúcho, sinalizou o “Bruxo” em um patamar mais elevado.
“Alguém jogou mais que o Messi que vocês viram jogar?”, questionou Cleber Machado. “O Messi, para mim, foi o melhor jogador que eu vi jogar.”, respondeu Dodô. “Eu joguei com uns caras antigos que você (Dodô) não jogou. O Ronaldinho Gaúcho, no melhor momento dele, eu acho que foi melhor que o Messi.”, opinou Zinho.
Abel Braga exalta o Palmeiras, mas elege favoritismo do PSG no Mundial
Antes do Palmeiras encarar o Inter Miami, de Messi, Abel Braga indicou semelhanças envolvendo o elenco do Internacional que, em 2006, faturou o título do Mundial. Embora tenha enaltecido o trabalho de Abel Ferreira, o antigo comandante da equipe gaúcha ainda vê o PSG como o grande favorito ao título do torneio.
“Sinceramente, o time mais parecido com aquilo que nós éramos é o Palmeiras. Tem o mesmo treinador, é um cara que tem o grupo na mão… quando dá uma complicada, ele usa três zagueiros, depois volta a jogar com os dois. O Palmeiras, coletivamente, foi aquilo que tivemos naquele momento. Mas eu acho que (os brasileiros) vão brigar. São três clubes do Rio de Janeiro entre quatro brasileiros. O futebol do Rio tá precisando disso, mas eu acho difícil alguém tirar esse título do PSG.”, opinou.
