Sedmatřicetiletý stoper Suchý hrál dosud nejvyšší soutěž v Mladé Boleslavi, pětatřicetiletý útočník Necid byl v uplynulém ročníku druhé ligy se sedmnácti góly jejím nejlepším střelcem. Oba teď přijali nabídku, aby se vrátili do klubu, kde vyrostli a ze kterého se odrazili do světa.
„Oba jsem osobně oslovil, oba měli nabídky hrát i první ligu. Ale oba řekli jasně – chceme zpátky domů, do Slavie. Jsme šťastní, že tomu tak je. Věříme, že budou oporou našim mladým hráčům nejen na hřišti, ale díky svým bohatým zkušenostem ze zahraničí i v kabině,“ podotkl pro klubový web předseda klubu Jaroslav Tvrdík.
Suchý má se Slavií dva tituly, odcházel z ní v lednu 2010 po 151 odehraných soutěžních zápasech. Pak prošel CSKA Moskva, Basilejí, Augsburgem a Mladou Boleslaví. Necid odcházel do CSKA Moskva v roce 2009, do sešívaných barev se pak v průběhu času dvakrát vrátil. Slavil s ní dva tituly a jeden triumf v poháru, jeho bilance čítá 84 soutěžních utkání a 23 gólů. V průběhu kariéry nastupoval i v Jablonci, PAOK Soluň, Zwolle, Bursasporu, Legii Varšava, Bohemians či Žižkovu.
