Der FC Barcelona und Real Madrid duellieren sich regelmäßig um die spanische Meisterschaft, den Pokal und die Champions League. Das direkte Duell, der berüchtigte Clásico, lockt regelmäßig Millionen Fans vor die TV-Geräte.
Die Dauer-Rivalen lassen zudem keine Gelegenheit aus, um gegeneinander zu sticheln. Jetzt hat Barça-Präsident Joan Laporta den nächsten Giftpfeil Richtung Madrid abgeschossen, heftig gegen Real ausgeteilt.
Im Video-Podcast „La Llotja del 125“, der Barça die ganze Saison anlässlich des 125-jährigen Bestehens des Klubs begleitet, erklärte Laporta aus seiner Sicht, was Barcelona von Real unterscheidet.

Wir leben von der gegenseitigen Rivalität, die auf institutionellem Respekt beruht. Wir stützen uns auf die fußballerische Ausbildung in der Masia (Nachwuchsakademie, Anm.d.Red.), und wir bringen Talente hervor. Das macht uns stolz auf das, was wir sind. Wir sind mehr als nur ein Verein.“
Barça ist also mehr als nur ein Klub. Real hingegen schon?
„Wir wollen den Ball, wir geben die Führung nicht auf und übernehmen die Verantwortung für unser Schicksal. Wir wollen den Ball, um Spaß zu haben und zu gewinnen. Ich beziehe mich dabei auch auf das Triple der ersten Mannschaft, das wir gegen unseren ewigen Rivalen gewonnen haben. So lässt es sich erklären: Wir haben gespielt und es genossen, gegen sie zu gewinnen“, sagte der Barça-Boss weiter. Barcelona war es gelungen, in der abgelaufenen Saison Real dreimal zu besiegen. In Liga im Hin- und Rückspiel sowie im Pokal-Finale setzten sich die Katalanen durch.

Nach einer sportlichen Krise erholte sich Barça wieder, holte in dieser Saison das Double aus Meisterschaft und Pokal.
„Wir haben uns allen Schwierigkeiten gestellt. Es war eine der schwierigsten Saisons. Heute steht Barça wieder an der Weltspitze, wir sind wieder ein Maßstab“, erklärte Laporta abschließend mit einem weiteren Seitenhieb Richtung Real.
