The Chicago Bulls agreed to trade oft-injured guard Lonzo Ball to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Isaac Okoro, a league source told The Athletic.
Ball, 27, the No. 2 pick of the 2017 draft, played in just 70 games the last four seasons — and was out for two full campaigns from 2022 to 2024 — mostly due to chronic knee issues. He is under contract for next season at $10 million, with a club option for 2026-27, providing the Cavs with the salary and roster flexibility they need with one of the most expensive payrolls in the NBA.
Okoro, 24, is due $11 million this year and $12 million the next. He averaged 8.1 points and 2.8 rebounds while shooting 36 percent from 3-point range in five seasons with Cleveland.
