Ich will für diesen Verein spielen.“ Doch er schob hinterher: „Ich muss mit dem Trainer und den Sportdirektoren persönlich besprechen, ob ich hier meine Chancen bekomme. Ich hoffe wirklich darauf! Aber wenn nicht, müssen wir schauen und die beste Lösung finden.“
Klar ist: Bei Palhinha lief seit seinem Wechsel im Sommer 2024 ohnehin wenig zusammen. Für 49,5 Millionen Euro aus Fulham geholt, bremsten ihn erst ein Muskelbündelriss (zehn Wochen Pause), dann eine schwere Grippe. Und im Kampf um die Plätze im Mittelfeld hatten Joshua Kimmich (30), Leon Goretzka (30) und Alexs Pavlovic (21) klar die Nase vorn.
