De volta ao Brasil, Leila Pereira se manifestou pela primeira vez desde a eliminação do Palmeiras para o Chelsea nas quartas de final do Mundial de Clubes. Orgulhosa do desempenho do time paulista no torneio organizado pela Fifa, pediu para que os palmeirenses ‘ignorem’ as provocações dos torcedores rivais e projetou novas conquistas ainda nesta temporada.
Após a derrota por 2 a 1 para o Chelsea, o Corinthians utilizou o X (antigo Twitter) para resgatar uma postagem do rival em que era ironizado pelo seu insucesso na Libertadores. Como resposta, ‘devolveu na mesma moeda’ com o revés do Verdão para os ingleses. No dia seguinte, o São Paulo recordou seus três campeonatos mundiais com legendas provocativas.
“Não deem ouvidos àqueles que vivem de glórias passadas porque não conseguem conquistar nada relevante nos dias de hoje. Não vivemos de glórias passadas. Valorizamos nossas conquistas do passado, mas queremos mais. Vivemos o presente”, escreveu Leila Pereira, que seguiu rebatendo seus rivais do Estado.
“Temos um profundo orgulho de hoje estarmos sempre disputando e conquistando títulos, de hoje sermos um clube respeitado por pagar em dia seus compromissos, de hoje sermos um clube superavitário, profissional e transparente, de hoje revelarmos jogadores fantásticos, e sermos hoje um clube com credibilidade”, completou.
Palmeiras busca substituto de Estêvão
Oficialmente atleta do Chelsea, Estêvão não veste mais a camisa do Palmeiras e deixará uma lacuna importante no elenco alviverde. Antes mesmo da disputa do Mundial de Clubes, o técnico Abel Ferreira pediu publicamente a contratação de uma nova peça para o setor. A princípio, Ramón Sosa, que atua no Nottingham Forest, da Inglaterra, seria o seu substituto.
Aos 25 anos, o atacante paraguaio, então, surge como uma das opções no mercado. Com dinheiro em caixa, sobretudo com as premiações alcançadas na competição internacional, a diretoria tem espaço para adquirir um novo atleta.
Nas últimas horas, o Corinthians fez uma sondagem pelo jogador, mas os moldes apresentados não agradaram os ingleses, que preferem uma transferência definitiva. Com sérias dificuldades financeiras, o Timão não irá avançar nas tratativas.
Paulinho confirma nova cirurgia e não joga mais em 2025
Além de Estêvão, o Palmeiras não poderá contar com Paulinho nesta temporada. Como previsto, o atacante passará por um novo procedimento cirúrgico para tratar de uma lesão que tem incomodado e muito o atleta na região da canela.
“Hora de me cuidar. Depois de muito tempo jogando no sacrifício e convivendo com muitas dores, chegou o momento que eu sabia que uma hora viria: vou precisar passar por uma cirurgia que vai me afastar dos gramados pelo resto da temporada. Não foi uma decisão fácil. Fui ao meu limite!”, escreveu.
