O Fluminense perdeu para o Chelsea por 2 a 0 nesta terça-feira (8) e foi o último brasileiro eliminado da Copa do Mundo de Clubes da Fifa. Todos os quatro times do Brasil avançaram para o mata-mata e tiveram momentos de grande destaque no inédito torneio nos Estados Unidos.

O Tricolor Carioca encerrou sua participação com um lucro de mais de R$ 331 milhões e bateu recordes em sua história, sendo essa a temporada mais lucrativa de todos os tempos do clube. Em 2023, quando foi campeão da Copa Libertadores da América, a quantia conquistada chegou a R$ 194 milhões.

No comando de Renato Gaúcho, a equipe carioca fez história ao alcançar a semifinal, algo que poucos acreditavam antes do torneio. O Flu deixou pelo caminho a vice-campeã da Champions League Inter de Milão nas oitavas e o bilionário Al-Hilal, da Arábia Saudita, nas quartas.

Palmeiras foi o segundo que mais lucrou

O Palmeiras de Abel Ferreira foi o segundo brasileiro que mais chegou longe e caiu nas quartas de final, em derrota por 2 a 1 para o Chelsea. O lucro total foi de quase 40 milhões de dólares, cerca de R$ 216 milhões.

Rivais do Fluminense, Botafogo e Flamengo foram eliminados nas oitavas, em duelos contra o Verdão e Bayern de Munique, respectivamente. O Rubro-Negro ganhou um pouco mais, pois teve duas vitórias e um empate na fase de grupos, enquanto o Glorioso teve as mesmas duas vitórias, mas também uma derrota.

Ao todo, o clube da Gávea embolsou US$ 27,71 milhões (mais de R$ 152 milhões) no Mundial de Clubes, e o Fogão ficou com US$ 26,7 milhões (cerca de R$ 146,3 milhões).

Fluminense tem novos desafios em 2025

Após o Mundial, o Flu irá se concentrar em três competições: Brasileirão Série A, Copa do Brasil e Copa Sul-Americana. Na competição nacional de pontos corridos, o “time de guerreiros” está em sexto atualmente, com 20 pontos, quatro a menos que o líder Flamengo.

Na Copa do Brasil, o adversário nas oitavas de final será o Internacional de Roger Machado, enquanto na Sul-Americana o rival ainda não está definido. É provável que o Fluminense entre em campo novamente apenas no dia 17 de julho, contra o Cruzeiro, pelo Campeonato Brasileiro.
