Meghan and Harry have launched a secret investigation into why they are not wanted in Hollywood

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly launching a quiet investigation into what they see as an orchestrated campaign to sideline them from Hollywood’s inner circle.

Frustrated over being shut out of awards and lambasted in media circles, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are said to be determined to find out exactly who is behind their apparent fall from grace in the entertainment capital.

Despite their documentary Harry & Meghan shattering records with over 81.6 million viewing hours in its first four days on Netflix, the couple failed to secure an Emmy nomination. According to sources close to the pair, that snub was more than just disappointing-it was personal.

“The fact they didn’t get an Emmy nod was a massive blow,” a source told RadarOnline.com. “They feel there’s been an orchestrated hate campaign against them from both sides of the Atlantic, and they’re determined to identify those behind it.”

The docuseries, part of their high-profile $100 million deal with Netflix, chronicled their romance, marriage, and dramatic departure from royal duties in 2020. While it did receive a Critics Choice Award nomination, the absence from the Emmy shortlist seemed to mark a turning point in how the couple perceives their relationship with the entertainment world.

Podcast backlash adds fuel to the fire

Adding to their Hollywood woes, Meghan’s new podcast Confessions of a Female Founder has gotten off to a rough start. Its debut episode, featuring Bumble founder Whitney Wolfe Herd, was widely panned by critics.

Publications such as The Telegraph, The Guardian, Standard, and The Times handed down two-star reviews, calling it tone-deaf and self-absorbed.

The underwhelming reception of both her podcast and recent Netflix content-like With Love, Meghan, which also failed to impress-has only heightened the couple’s sense that they are being intentionally frozen out by Hollywood’s elite.

According to RadarOnline.com, Meghan is even considering assembling what has been described as a “burn book”-a private dossier to track those in the industry she believes have undermined her and Harry’s success.

The couple is reportedly calling on influential allies such as Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres to help them get clarity. While they don’t want to come off as bitter, those close to the Sussexes say they believe someone-or multiple people-may be working behind the scenes to tarnish their image.

Harry and Meghan don’t want to come off as sore losers,” an insider said. “They are relying on their high-powered friends… hoping to better understand this setback and address any potential sabotage.”

PSG vs Atletico Madrid live updates: Lee wraps up 4-0 Club World Cup 2025 win for European champions

Well, what to make of that match? It was certainly more competitive than today's first at the Club World Cup, Bayern Munich's 10-0 thrashing of Auckland City. Paris Saint-Germain looked every bit as impressive as they did in last month's Champions League final win over Inter. However, the 4-0 final does flatter them a bit. Atletico deserved at least one goal today, between their disallowed goal and Alexander Sorloth's absolute sitter he somehow missed. Similarly, PSG's fourth goal was a real gift. The current handball rule is much too harsh on defenders when they're a foot away from the attacker, if you ask me. Still, this was mostly the heavyweight bout that Gianni Infantino would've been dreaming about when he engineered this competition, even if the California heat dampened the players' energy some.

U.S. Open 2025 live updates: Round 4 leaderboard and scores with play suspended due to dangerous weather

The top contenders were already struggling enough — Sam Burns, Adam Scott and Viktor Hovland have all lost two strokes, and J.J. Spaun five — and now the conditions are going to add another element to the equation once play does resume. Who can be a mudder? Even if the rain holds up enough to allow them to get back on the course, it’s probably not done falling. So who can manage their equipment and just stay present enough to focus on the next shot over everything else?If I had to guess, it’s Tyrrell Hatton, who is tied-third at 1-over-par, three shots behind Burns. Hatton is, he’ll admit, almost always miserable anyways. What’s being wet on top of that?
