O Craque Neto teceu elogios aos torcedores do Vasco, após a festa protagonizada na estreia do Brasileirão, onde o time saiu vitorioso sobre o Santos neste domingo (30), em São Januário, mas alfinetou o elenco Cruz-Maltino.
Na avaliação do ex-jogador, a torcida do Vasco merecia um time com status de protagonista como em outrora para brigar por títulos, e não somente aparecer como mero figurante nas principais competições.
“A torcida do Vasco é uma coisa fenomenal. Eles lotam o estádio. A verdade é que o time é muito pequeno pela torcida que tem. O clube é monstruoso. A torcida do Vasco não merece um time tão pequenininho. Não merece um Payet, desculpa. Os números dele são ridículos. Ele é ex-jogador. Não dá para renovar o contrato”

Alfinetado pelo Craque Neto, o Vasco não fatura um título desde a temporada 2016, quando faturou o Campeonato Carioca. Desde então, são mais de 3.000 dias de jejum. À nível nacional, o jejum do Gigante da Colina é ainda maior: Copa do Brasil de 2011.
No último ano, o Gigante da Colina terminou o Brasileirão com a 10ª colocação, e chegou a pleitear uma vaga na Libertadores, mas a oscilação na reta decisiva acabou atrapalhando os planos.

Em outro momento falando sobre o Vasco, o Craque Neto fez questão de enaltecer a qualidade do atacante Pablo Vegetti, pontuando sobre o exímio potencial do argentino no jogo aéreo e a visão diferenciada, seja para marcar ou servir os companheiros.
“O Vegetti é brincadeira hein. Você viu a assistência que ele deu no primeiro jogo? Ele vai de cabeça e dá do outro lado. E fez o segundo gol. Eu queria ele no Corinthians. Que ajeitada. Ele dá um passe de cabeça”, observou o apresentador.
