Wie es für Markus Rashford (27) in der kommenden Saison weitergeht, ist weiterhin unklar. Fest steht: United-Coach Ruben Amorim (40) will ihn nicht mehr. Bis Sommer ist er noch an Aston Villa ausgeliehen – inklusive Kaufoption. Wie „L‘Équipe“ nun berichtet, gibt es für Rashford noch eine andere Option.

Olympique Marseille soll Anfang des Jahres an Rashford interessiert gewesen sein, wollte ihn auch auf Leihbasis verpflichten. Der Stürmer blieb jedoch lieber auf der Insel, Marseille zog gegen Villa den Kürzeren.

Ob ein Angebot von PSG das ändern würde? Spieler und Verein standen in der Vergangenheit schon in Kontakt. Denn: Rashford sollte Kylian Mbappé (26) ersetzen – 2022. Als der Franzose letztes Jahr nach Madrid wechselte, soll Rashford wieder ein Thema gewesen sein.

Damals berichtete der „Mirror“ über ein Angebot von 85 Millionen Euro für den Engländer, der noch einen Vertrag bis 2028 hat. United wollte damals noch 117 Millionen Euro für ihn. Zu teuer für PSG. Das Preisschild für Rashford dürfte sich inzwischen geändert haben – Villas Kaufoption beträgt 40 Millionen Euro.

Rashford blüht zuletzt regelrecht auf. Gegen Brighton schoss er ein Tor, gegen Brügge in der Champions League lieferte er eine Vorlage. Vertrauen bekommt er auch von Tuchel. Der neue England-Coach berief ihn im März in seine Auswahl. Zur EM im vergangenen Jahr durfte er nicht.
