Despite over five years having passed since the shocking decision by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to step down from royal duties, new information continues to trickle in seemingly every other day. The two would likely love to turn the page forever, but that’s simply not possible given the magnitude of their decision.
They especially would love to retreat into the shadows at the moment, as their public images are not ideal. Markle continues to be painted as a diva by former coworkers, while Harry recently had to resign from the board of one of his charities due to concerning allegations. Now, old wounds have resurfaced, and they have to do with Queen Elizabeth II.

Several reports and excerpts from books have come out recently, shedding more light on the fallout between Markle and the Queen. As unbelievable as it may seem, Markle’s wedding tiara was the culprit for triggering the downfall of Meghan and Harry’s relationship with the Queen.
Markle had a run-in with the Queen’s hairdresser, Angela Kelly. Harry felt she was being “obstructive“. Many authors, including Harry himself, have detailed the incident, which was essentially the starting point of their rift with the Queen.
