Porsche-Pilot und Titel-Verteidiger Pascal Wehrlein holt sich beim Formel-E-Rennen in Miami den Sieg vor Lucas di Grassi (Lola Yamah Abt) und Teamkollege Antonio Felix da Costa.
Die Schlussphase ist unübersichtlich und chaotisch – und führt zu einer ungewöhnlichen Situation: Nissan-Pilot Norman Nato überquert zuerst die Ziellinie. Doch er erhält eine Zeitstrafe, weil er seinen Attack-Mode nicht rechtzeitig aufbrauchen konnte. Schuld ist eine späte Rot-Phase nach einer Dreier-Kollision.

Mexico Informa (Mexiko): „Mehrere Fahrer, darunter auch Pole-Mann Norman Nato, wurden bestraft, weil sie ihren obligatorischen ATTACK MODE nicht aktiviert hatten, da das Rennen vorzeitig beendet wurde. Der E-Prix war geprägt von ständigen Führungswechseln, einem Safety-Car-Einsatz und einem schweren Crash zwischen drei Fahrzeugen, der zu einem Sprint über fünf Runden führte.“
The Race: „Porsche hat bewiesen, dass sein Gen3-Evo-Paket in Bezug auf Tempo und Konstanz auf allen Strecken wahrscheinlich das beste ist. Dass es vor Miami noch kein Rennen in dieser Saison gewonnen hatte, war gelinde gesagt eine kleine Anomalie, aber Pascal Wehrleins achter Sieg in der Formel E beendete all das.“
In drei Wochen ist die Formel E in Monaco zu Gast. Dort startet am 3. und 4. Mai ein Doppel-Rennen.
