Laut der englischen Zeitung „The Sun“ stehen dabei viele Leihspieler auf der Verkaufsliste: Marcus Rashford (27/Aston Villa), Antony (25/Betis Sevilla) und Jadon Sancho (25/Chelsea)!
[–>Rashford erzielte seit seinem Winter-Wechsel bei Villa einen Treffer in acht Liga-Spielen und steuerte obendrein drei Torvorlagen bei. Nicht ausgeschlossen, dass der Villa-Wunsch aufgeht und der England-Klub den Nationalspieler fest verpflichtet. Klappt das nicht, hoffen ihn die Man United-Verantwortlichen Berichten zufolge für rund 52 Mio. Ablöse von der Gehaltsliste zu bekommen. Auch Sancho steht auf der Abschussliste, dürfte wohl für rund 43 Mio. den Verein ebenfalls verlassen.
Neben Antony sollen auch Christian Eriksen (33/Vertrag läuft aus/Marktwert bei 6 Mio. Euro), Casemiro (33/Vertrag bis Sommer 2026/12 Mio. Euro), Kobbie Mainoo (19/Vertrag bis 2027/55 Mio. Euro) und Alejandro Garnacho (20/Vertrag bis 2028/45 Mio. Euro) als Verkaufskandidaten gelten.

Insgesamt sollen der große Ausverkauf rund 230 Millionen Euro bringen. Von diesem möchte United Neuzugänge verpflichten.
Sportlich läuft es für Man United im April überhaupt nicht. Neben einer Pleite gegen Nottingham (0:1), dem Unentschieden gegen City (0:0) kamen die Engländer auch in Lyon beim Viertelfinal-Hinspiel in der Europa League nicht über ein 2:2 hinaus.
Um die Saison noch irgendwie noch positiv zu Ende zu bringen, würde ein Sieg im Rückspiel und ein Einzug ins Halbfinale helfen. Mit dem Gewinn der Euro League könnte sich Man United sogar noch für die Champions League qualifizieren – über die Liga ist das längst unrealistisch.
