
Am Donnerstagabend (19 Uhr) will der ThSV Eisenach in der Daikin Handball-Bundesliga gegen Erlangen den Klassenerhalt quasi festzurren – die Planungen fürs neue Spieljahr treiben die Thüringer derweil voran.
Vom SC DHfK Leipzig kommt Stephan Seitz (23). Der Rückraumspieler unterschrieb einen Vertrag bis Sommer 2027.
Mit ihm kommt reichlich internationale Erfahrung an die Wartburg. Seitz ist Welt- und Europameister im Juniorenbereich geworden. Erst im Winter wechselte er vom kommenden Gegner Erlangen nach Leipzig, jetzt geht’s direkt weiter nach Eisenach.

Und Seitz kann’s kaum erwarten: „Der ThSV Eisenach ist ein traditionsreicher Klub, ich freue mich sehr darauf, in den nächsten zwei Jahren ein Teil dieses Vereins sein zu dürfen.“
Die Verpflichtung Seitz‘ ist in enger Abstimmung mit dem neuen Cheftrainer Sebastian Hinze über die Bühne gegangen, wie Sportchef Maik Nowak betont. In Eisenach ist man von den Fähigkeiten des Linkshänders überzeugt: „Stephan ist ein sehr guter Rückraum-Rechts-Spieler, der uns in Angriff und Abwehr viel Freude machen kann und wird“, sagt Nowak.
