Zähes Spiel, wichtige Punkte – SCM bleibt an den Füchsen dran

Arbeitssieg statt Feuerwerk! Der SC Magdeburg ringt Stuttgart mit 31:20 (14:11) nieder – holt zwei ganz wichtige Punkte im Titelkampf. Damit bleibt der SCM den Füchsen auf den Fersen, hat weiterhin nur einen Minuspunkt mehr als die Berliner Tabellenführer.

Ungewöhnlicher Start in die Partie: Der erste Treffer fällt erst nach 4:45 Minuten – durch Magnus Saugstrup (28).

Der SCM wirkt unkonzentriert, findet schwer ins Spiel. Die Quittung: Stuttgart geht nach acht Minuten erstmals sehenswert in Führung (3:2). Geschockte Gesichter in der ausverkauften Magdeburger GETEC-Arena (6.600 Zuschauer). So hatten sich die Fans das absolut nicht vorgestellt.

Dann die nächste Schrecksekunde: TVB-Führungsspieler Kai Häfner (35) sieht bereits nach 14 Minuten die Rote Karte! Der Stuttgarter Top-Torschütze trifft ausgerechnet Antonio Serradilla (26), der im Sommer zu den Schwaben wechselt, heftig im Gesicht – dessen Spezialbrille fliegt davon. Serradilla muss sie nach einer Augen-OP aufgrund eines Tumors tragen. Der Spanier kann weiterspielen, Häfner nicht. Bitter für Stuttgart.

Doch auch danach läuft’s beim SCM weiter schleppend. Nach 19 Minuten (8:6) hat Coach Bennet Wiegert (43) genug gesehen, nimmt die Auszeit – und brüllt: „Jungs, Jungs, jetzt hört mir bitte mal zu. Wir ziehen jetzt mal die Stecker und starten noch mal neu bitte – mit einer ganz anderen Ausstrahlung, mit einer ganz anderen Energie. Ich will, dass wir alles raushauen.“

Die Ansprache zeigt Wirkung: Sechs Minuten später bringt Kapitän Matthias Musche den SCM erstmals mit vier Toren in Front (12:8). Zur Pause steht’s 14:11 für Magdeburg – Führung ja, Glanzleistung nein.

[–>Saugstrup sagt in der Pause bei Dyn: „Benno hat gesagt, dass wir mehr machen müssen, mehr provozieren, mehr kämpfen für die Fans in der Halle. Sie kommen hierher in ihrem Urlaub und wir machen so eine Scheiße. So wollen wir das nicht.“

Auch nach der Pause bleibt der SCM blass (15 technische Fehler) – die Dominanz fehlt weiter. Die Schwaben bleiben bis zur Schlussviertel im Spiel. Dann legen die Wiegert-Jungs den Turbo ein und setzen sich ab, siegen 31:20.

Auffälligste Akteure: mal wieder Keeper Sergey Hernández (29) mit 12 Paraden sowie Felix Claar (28) mit 7 Toren und Matthias Musche (32) mit 6 Treffern.

Mal sehen, ob die Wiegert-Jungs am Samstag (20 Uhr/Dyn) gegen die Rhein-Neckar Löwen von Beginn an wach sind – im Titelrennen darf sich der SCM keine Ausrutscher mehr leisten.
