The American Music Awards are back with a star-studded lineup and a major return to live television this Memorial Day.
Nominations for the 2025 AMAs were announced on Wednesday, with a diverse group of artists from across genres earning recognition. The ceremony will broadcast live from Las Vegas on Monday, May 26, airing on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
2025 AMAs set to feature major stars
This year’s awards mark a notable return for the iconic fan-voted event, following the success of 2024’s 50th Anniversary Special.
The 2025 show promises to maintain that momentum, with major names like Kendrick Lamar, Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Post Malone, and Billie Eilish in the running for top honors.
Fans can cast their votes online through May 15.
Leading the pack is Kendrick Lamar, who earned 10 nominations across major categories including Artist of the Year and Song of the Year.
He could make history by matching the record for most wins in a single night. Taylor Swift, already the most decorated artist in AMAs history, received six nods, including one for her collaboration with Post Malone on “Fortnight.”
Beyonce also secured multiple nominations, with her genre-blending COWBOY CARTER album recognized in both pop and country categories.
Jennifer Lopez is set to return as host and performer, nearly a decade after her 2015 hosting debut.

The multi-hyphenate star has already ignited excitement online with a glam-filled promotional photo shared on Instagram.
With her return, she joins an exclusive group of artists, including Diana Ross and Lionel Richie, who have hosted the show more than once.
Other notable nominees include Billie Eilish and rising star Chappell Roan, each with seven nominations.
Roan stands out as the only artist to be recognized in all three of the AMAs’ new categories: Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Social Song of the Year.
This year’s ceremony also promises a heartfelt tribute to U.S. troops and veterans, aligning with its Memorial Day broadcast.
As always, winners will be determined entirely by fans, with voting based on data-driven engagement metrics including streaming, sales, and airplay.
With a lineup full of A-listers, new talent, and fan-first energy, the 51st AMAs are shaping up to be one of the year’s most talked-about music events.
