Manchester United setzte sich am Donnerstag im Viertelfinal-Rückspiel der Europa League spektakulär mit 5:4 gegen Olympique Lyon nach Verlängerung durch. Anschließend erklärte Trainer Ruben Amorim (40), dass Victor Lindelöf (30) das Stadion aus persönlichen Gründen noch vor Spielende verlassen musste.
Seine Frau Maja Lindelöf teilte nun mit, was der furchtbare Grund für den fluchtartigen Aufbruch war: Die beiden Eltern mussten ins Krankenhaus eilen, nachdem ihr jüngster Sohn einen schweren Unfall gehabt hatte.
[–>Gegenüber der „Sun“ sagte Lindelöf: „Eine Stunde vor Beginn des Spiels rief unser Babysitter an und sagte, dass sie in einem Krankenwagen auf dem Weg ins Krankenhaus seien. Mein jüngster Sohn Francis hatte sich den ganzen Kopf aufgeschlitzt. Er war zu Hause hinter seinem großen Bruder Ted Louie hergelaufen und in unser Glastreppenhaus gefallen.“
Und weiter: „Seine Stirn war in zwei Teile gespalten. Er war sowohl am Donnerstag als auch am Freitag im Krankenhaus. Er musste sich einer plastischen Operation unterziehen, um seine Stirn wieder zusammenzusetzen. Er wurde unter Narkose gesetzt.“
