Diese Diagnose tut dem SC Magdeburg so richtig weh!
Beim dramatischen 26:26 im Viertelfinal-Hinspiel der Champions League gegen Veszprem verletzt sich Publikumsliebling Matthias Musche (32) schwer. Jetzt steht die Diagnose endgültig fest.
Trainer Bennet Wiegert (43) ringt um Fassung: „Er hat sich die Achillessehne gerissen und wird uns mehrere Monate fehlen. Das ist für ihn persönlich extrem bitter – für uns alle auch. Aber ich sehe da ihn persönlich im Vordergrund. Das tut mir unheimlich leid. Er war in überragender Form.“
Musche knickt in der 4. Minute ohne Fremdeinwirkung weg, hält sich sofort die rechte Achillessehne. Schon auf der Bank herrscht schnell traurige Gewissheit. „Das überschattet das ganze Spiel“, sagt Wiegert.

Trotzdem kämpft sich sein Team nach zwischenzeitlichem Vier-Tore-Rückstand in der zweiten Halbzeit zurück – und bringt die Halle zum Kochen. „Was wir kämpferisch, emotional in der zweiten Halbzeit abliefern, überdimensional gut. Da waren wir aus der Schockstarre raus. Schade, dass uns dann ein bisschen die erste Halbzeit fehlt.“
Auch in der Kabine spukte die Musche-Verletzung weiter in den Köpfen der Spieler. „Ich habe versucht, maximal gegenzuwirken – auch über die Auszeit. Da noch mal Worte an Matze gerichtet. Aber das ist uns in der ersten Halbzeit nicht so gelungen, wie wir es vielleicht gebraucht hätten, um hier auch nen Sieg mitnehmen zu können.“
Dass es am Ende ein Remis wird, fühlt sich für Wiegert trotzdem nicht wie eine Niederlage an: „Sehe ich so. Aber wir haben den Ballbesitz zum Schluss. Mein Kopf spielt da durch, dass wir vielleicht zwei Tore hätten mitnehmen können. Aber jetzt steht es halt bei null.“
[–>Ein Nachteil, dass Veszprem im Gegensatz zum SCM kein Spiel am Wochenende bestreiten muss? Wiegert wiegelt ab: „Ich will jetzt nicht sagen, dass es ein Vorteil ist. Wir haben unsere Aufgaben zu machen. Das Spiel in Wetzlar wird uns auch alles abverlangen.“
Und Musche? Der wird lange fehlen. Und doch bleibt er mittendrin – als Symbol für Zusammenhalt. Für die kommenden Spiele wird Youngster Pablo Lange in den Kader rücken und gemeinsam mit Nationalspieler Lukas Mertens (29) das Duo auf der linken Außenbahn bilden.

Getty Images On Friday, the University of Kentucky's board of trustees approved a proposal to transform the athletic department into a limited liability company called Champions Blue, LLC. The move represents a radical shift as college programs continue to adjust to an impending decision from the United States District Court that could lift restrictions on the sharing of media rights revenues.Kentucky's newest venture is thought to be the first of its kind among major universities in the United States. Pětibojařka Hlaváčková je ve finále Světového poháru v Budapešti
Pro Barboru Hartmanovou, Kateřinu Váňovou a Veroniku Novotnou, která v maďarské metropoli loni vybojovala osmé místo, skončila soutěž ve čtvrtečním semifinále. Stejně v pátek dopadli Matěj Lukeš a Vojtěch Dáňa, už ve středeční kvalifikaci skončily naděje Jana Tomana a Marka Grycze.Hlaváčková se na čtvrtou příčku ve skupině B posunula v závěrečném běhu kombinovaném s laserovou střelbou, před nímž figurovala na 12. místě. Ve finále byla v Budapešti i před rokem, kdy v něm obsadila poslední 18. pozici. Novotné k účasti ve finále nepomohlo ani vítězství v šermu v „béčku“, v kterém byla nakonec dvanáctá.
