Depois de um cenário de pequena turbulência por rendimento aquém das expectativas e a derrocada para o rival na final do Paulistão, o Palmeiras tem se reerguido na temporada 2025 e voltou a se apresentar de forma incisiva nos últimos jogos, igualando marca expressiva.

Com o resultado positivo diante do Fortaleza no último final de semana, o Verdão engatou a sexta vitória consecutiva, fato este que não era registrado pelo clube desde o início da temporada 2023. Mesmo com problemas de lesões, Abel Ferreira tem se reinventado, mudando até mesmo posicionamento de peças.
