No programa Bate-Pronto, da Jovem Pan, o jornalista Flavio Prado falou sobre a vitória do São Paulo diante do Libertad (PAR), fora de casa, pela terceira rodada da Libertadores.
Na opinião dele, o Tricolor paulista não tem elenco elenco para vencer um torneio longo como o Campeonato Brasileiro. Então, o foco do time deve ser mesmo as copas, onde há possibilidade de título.
“O São Paulo aposta nas copas porque no pontos corridos não tem condições de chegar, o elenco é inferior aos melhores times. Então, o São Paulo tem que focar nas copas, abdicando do Campeonato Brasileiro. A melhor campanha dos últimos anos, que foi com o Fernando Diniz, foi algo fora da curva, inexplicável. Depois, voltou para a realidade”, disse.
Flavio Prado relembra “quase título” da Libertadores
No ano passado, o Tricolor paulista foi eliminado nos pênaltis para o campeão Botafogo, nas quartas de final. Na opinião do jornalista, o São Paulo poderia ter sido campeão da Libertadores.
“O São Paulo é obrigado a apostar nas copas porque não está devidamente preparado para ser um time de pontos corridos. As copas são muito aleatórias, o São Paulo pode avançar mesmo longe de estar entre os favoritos. Ano passado quase eliminou o Botafogo e poderia ter sido campeão da Libertadores”, disse.
Então, o comentarista relembra também que o Fluminense venceu em 2023 sem ter time para isso, mas contou com o fator “aleatoriedade” que acontece nas competições de mata-mata.
“O próprio Fluminense do Fernando Diniz não tinha a menor condições de ser campeão da Libertadores, não tinha elenco. Foi aproveitando a ocasião, Palmeiras e Flamengo vacilaram, acabou ganhando”, finalizou.

O São Paulo volta a campo amanhã (26), às 18h30, diante do Ceará, fora de casa, em duelo válido pela 6ª rodada do Brasileirão.
