At the end of January, the Buffalo Bills came very close to defeating the Kansas City Chiefs and advancing to the Super Bowl. However, once again, Josh Allen’s team couldn’t figure out how to beat Patrick Mahomes, and now they’ll have to wait another year for the chance to compete for the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Despite the painful loss in the AFC Championship Game, the Bills had a strong season-especially quarterback Josh Allen, who was named the MVP of the season, a title that many believed should have gone to Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens.
In the end, Josh Allen is the MVP, and no one can take that away from him. The franchise rewarded the Wyoming product earlier in March, when the quarterback signed a historic contract extension: six years for $330 million, with $250 million guaranteed-the most guaranteed money in NFL history. This deal keeps him with the team through the 2030 season.

Brandon Beane, general manager of the Buffalo Bills, appeared on the Fitz and Whit podcast, hosted by Ryan Fitzpatrick and Andrew Whitworth. In that episode, he talked about his expectations for the Bills and, most importantly, what Josh Allen represents for the franchise.
“When I went down to my [post-draft] press conference… they were all over me about why I took Josh Allen, asking why I didn’t choose Josh Rosen,” said Beane. “I kept telling them… he’s physically gifted, he can do everything in our weather, he’s got the size, people forget what an athlete this guy is… I promise you, when you meet him, you’ll understand what I’m talking about.”
It’s worth remembering that Allen was Brandon Beane’s first draft pick as an NFL general manager-and what a pick it was, despite the criticism at the time. Josh Allen has grown tremendously over the years and is now one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. Still, the task remains: to win the franchise’s first Super Bowl.
