Líder do Grupo F da Libertadores com sete pontos, o Bahia, comandado por Rogério Ceni, está perto de assegurar sua classificação para as oitavas de final. Para isso, precisará vencer o Nacional-URU no próximo dia 7, às 19h (de Brasília), na Arena Fonte Nova.
Clube dos mais tradicionais no continente, o time uruguaio parece ser o mais frágil da chave e é o lanterna com apenas um ponto somado. No meio da semana, chegou a fazer 3 a 0 sobre o Internacional, mas permitiu o empate dos brasileiros.
Apesar da empolgação pelo bom momento do Bahia, Ceni não espera facilidade diante do Nacional. Pelo contrário, o ex-goleiro projeta mais uma dura batalha.
“Não acho que a classificação já venha na próxima rodada, mas temos a possibilidade de fazer mais um grande jogo.” É outro time que vai trazer dificuldade, mas vamos tentar chegar aos dez pontos”, relatou o treinador.
Ceni alerta para desgaste físico
Como esperado, o Bahia e outras equipes do Brasil sofrem com o tempo reduzido de recuperação de um jogo para outro. Depois de bater o Atlético Nacional, quinta-feira, o elenco vai descansar nesta sexta-feira e realizar um único treino no sábado, antes da viagem para São Paulo.
Para evitar futuras lesões, o técnico defende a rotação sempre que possível. “Temos algumas posições com jogadores lesionados, então temos que fazer escolhas para não correr riscos e perder jogadores.” Não podemos nos dar o luxo de perder jogadores em algumas posições”, explica.
No domingo, o Tricolor enfrenta o Palmeiras, às 18h30 (de Brasília), no Allianz Parque.
Bahia quer subir na tabela
Passadas cinco rodadas, o Bahia não está ainda na posição que almejava estar. Apesar de bons jogos, o Tricolor não conseguiu vencer, ficando até na zona de rebaixamento. O triunfo sobre o Ceará deixou o time em 13º lugar com seis pontos.
Caso consiga derrotar o Verdão, pode até mesmo terminar o final de semana no G-6.
