Paris Saint-Germain are assessing forward Ousmane Dembele’s hamstring injury before the second leg of their Champions League semi-final against Arsenal next Wednesday.
Dembele, 27, was substituted on 70 minutes in PSG’s 1-0 win over Arsenal in Tuesday’s first leg.
The Ligue 1 champions said in a statement on Friday that the forward had “strained his right hamstring,” and that he was progressing well but would require “further assessment.”

Dembele scored the only goal of the match at the Emirates Stadium after just four minutes. It was his 33rd goal of the season in all competitions, continuing the highest-scoring season of his career.
PSG head coach Luis Enrique said after the match that Dembele’s injury was “very minor,” but added that should the forward be absent for the second leg against Arsenal, his side would show they are a “real team.”
The forward has been a key player in PSG’s Champions League run so far, registering eight goals and three assists in the competition. The French side are looking to lift the Champions League for the first time in their history.
The France international has also scored 21 times in Ligue 1, as PSG secured their fourth consecutive French title with six games to spare on April 5.
The club also confirmed that defender Presnel Kimpembe would be out for a “few weeks” after injuring the “second metatarsal of his right foot.” The 29-year-old had made five substitute appearances since returning from an Achilles injury, which saw him ruled out of the entire 2023-24 campaign.
In addition to long-term absentees Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and Gabriel, Arsenal were also without Riccardo Calafiori and Jorginho for the first leg on Tuesday.
PSG face Strasbourg on Saturday, while Arsenal face Bournemouth on the same day.
