Třicetiletý Perret působí v extralize už osm let. V roce 2017 přišel z Rouenu do Pardubic a po dvou letech se stěhoval do Hradce Králové. V české nejvyšší soutěži má na kontě 414 zápasů a 157 bodů za 75 branek a 82 asistencí. Na MS se představí poosmé.
Texier zůstával v sezoně v St. Louis často jen na tribuně. V základní části sehrál 31 zápasů a připsal si šest gólů a pět přihrávek. Ve třech duelech play off zaznamenal jednu asistenci.
V roce 2017 jej draftoval ve 2. kole na 45. místě Columbus. V NHL odehrál za Blue Jackets a Blues 253 utkání a nasbíral 98 bodů (42+56). Sezonu 2022/23 strávil v Curychu z osobních důvodů po absolvování asistenčního programu NHL, který pomáhá hokejistům v případě psychických problémů či závislostí. Na MS bude hrát popáté.
Bohaté zkušeností z NHL má čtyřicetiletý útočník Pierre-Édouard Bellemare ze švýcarského Ajoie, který se chystá na dvanáctý šampionát elitní kategorie a další dva sehrál v divizi I. V nejlepší lize světa sehrál za 11 ročníků za Philadelphii, Vegas, Colorado, Tampu Bay a Seattle 785 utkání a nasbíral 153 bodů za 69 gólů a 84 přihrávek. V roce 2016 se zúčastnil Světového poháru v Torontu a s Výběrem Evropy se dostal do finále. Francii povede na MS jako kapitán.
Sedmatřicetiletý útočník Sacha Treille z Grenoblu, který se chystá už na 16. šampionát a 15. mezi elitou, hrál za Kladno, Spartu a Pardubice. Opět to bude pod taktovkou bratra Yoricka. Čtyřiačtyřicetiletý současný kouč Ženevy působil u francouzské reprezentace jako asistent od roku 2018 a loni ji převzal po Philippeovi Bozonovi.
Premiéra na MS čeká brankáře Antoinea Kellera a obránce Fabiena Bourgeoise, Yohana Coulauda a Kevina Spinozziho z Bordeaux.
Francouzi ale sázejí na stabilní kádr. Loni v Ostravě, kde skončili v základní skupině B o tři body před Polskem a udrželi se mezi elitou, se představilo šestnáct hráčů ze současného kádru. Vedle nováčků chyběli jen bek Jules Boscq a útočníci Fabien Colotti, Dylan Fabre a Guillaume Leclerc.
Francouzi vstoupí do šampionátu v sobotu duelem proti Lotyšsku a dále se ve skupině A ve Stockholmu utkají s Finskem, Kanadou, Slovenskem, Rakouskem, Švédskem a Slovinskem.
