Třiadvacetiletý rodák z Prahy Cichoň byl před přesunem na Hanou spjat zejména s pražskými kluby, kde hokejově vyrůstal. V mládeži hrál za Kobru či letňanské Letce a nakoukl i do reprezentačních výběrů U16 a U18. Následně jeho kroky zamířily do mládeže Sparty.
Pak střídavě nastupoval i za Baník Sokolov. Většinu sezóny 2023/24 odchytal v Litoměřicích a v posledním ročníku byl gólmanskou oporou pražské Slavie, za kterou odchytal 31 utkání s úspěšností zákroků 91,3 procent.
Pětadvacetiletý Matýs začínal v mládeži ve Žďáru nad Sázavou, většinu své kariéry ale spojil s Pardubicemi, kde také nakoukl v sezóně 2018/19 do nejvyšší soutěže. Kromě toho si zahrál i za prostějovské Jestřáby, Duklu Jihlava nebo Kadaň.
Mezi roky 2020 a 2023 hrál střídavě za Pardubice a Vrchlabí. Od sezóny 2023/24 hrál v Plzni, za kterou ve 107 zápasech zaznamenal 24 kanadských bodů (15+9).
