After claiming seven Super Bowl victories, Tom Brady transitioned into broadcasting with FOX Sports but endured a tough rookie season. However, keen to kick on he’s now made a request from the network showing his commitment to improvement.
The former sixth-round pick and now the most decorated quarterback in NFL history, is seeking to solidify his next chapter in sports media, looking to shrug off criticism for being below par.
And as his on-air presence has drawn scrutiny relating to issues with his delivery and analytical depth, he has also been classed as an inadequate replacement for his predecessor, Greg Olsen.
“He [Brady] did not highlight the phenomenal coverage by the Eagles’ secondary,” Joe DeCamara told Sportsradio 94WIP.

“He’s got to say the reason Mahomes can’t throw the ball in the first two seconds is no one is getting open on Cooper DeJean, Quinyon Mitchell and Darius Slay. And he never said it!”
Brady, famed for his mental strengths and his desire to always find a way to improve and step up to the next level, has already taken this on board and is keen to ensure he doesn’t let the errors of his debut campaign hold him back.
And he’s done so by asking to be a part of the FOX Sports team covering the first NFL game in Ireland this year, featuring the Pittsburgh Steelers at Croke Park in the nation’s capital of Dublin.
“You’re going to see the greatest athletes in America battling it out,” Brady told The Late Late Show. “It’s American Football. There’s so many tactics to it, you don’t necessarily see just from the television.
“Hopefully that game will be on FOX and I can come over and broadcast it. That would be a dream come true.”
The Ireland game marks another step in the NFL’s global expansion, following last year’s first-ever game in Brazil and the 47-year-old is keen to be a part of that growing influence.
Ireland is close to his heart through his ancestry, connection to Boston and of course, being situated relatively local to England – where he is a coowner in Birmingham City FC, a soccer team.
Gronkowski backs Brady punditry
Despite his extensive playing résumé of seven Super Bowl rings, five Super Bowl MVPs, three league MVPs, and the most wins by a quarterback many are unconvinced by Brady as a pundit.
However, one person insisting he’s adapting and catching up to the seasoned pros is one of his old friends,Rob Gronkowski. The tight end, who also played for the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, declares Brady is getting better.
“He has definitely improved since his first couple of games, which is understandable,” Gronkowski said, as per EssentiallySports. “”I mean, it’s such a tough job to do; there’s so much pressure on you.
“You’ve never called a game for that long in your life, to be up in that booth and break down plays like that. But you get better as you go on, and that’s all.”
