Caio Ribeiro não quis projetar que o Palmeiras, de fato, vai levantar o troféu do Brasileirão em 2025. Levando em conta que o campeonato sequer atingiu 10 rodadas, o ex-jogador foi cauteloso ao sinalizar uma grande margem para reviravoltas. Apesar disso, o time de Abel Ferreira, segundo o discurso veiculado no Globo Esporte, detém o status de “mais cascudo” e se encontra totalmente pronto para conquistar o título.
“Já era, Caio? Palmeiras campeão brasileiro?”, questionou Fred Bruno.
“Não, tem muita coisa pela frente ainda. Esse foi o problema do Bragantino, que fez um bom jogo. Só que o adversário era o time mais cascudo, mais pronto e mais resiliente que tem no Campeonato Brasileiro.”, respondeu Caio Ribeiro.
Elenco do Palmeiras em outro patamar?
Ganhando reforços de peso, o Palmeiras se reencontrou em campo depois de um período de oscilações. Fora de casa, a equipe teve competência para desbancar o Red Bull Bragantino, algo que impressionou Caio Ribeiro, tendo em vista os desfalques de Vitor Roque e Paulinho.
“Eu destacaria nesta temporada, diferente das anteriores, a qualidade do elenco com mais opções. O que é o lado mental do Palmeiras? Acreditar até o último minuto e se adaptar as circunstâncias do jogo e entender como ganha neutralizando o adversário […] Ganhou, é líder e sem Vitor Roque e Paulinho. É brincadeira esse elenco?”, externou.

Além das contratações, os jovens da base estão sendo importantes no Palmeiras em 2025. Mesmo que Estêvão esteja próximo da despedida, Caio Ribeiro avalia que nomes como Allan, Luighi e Thalys serão úteis para Abel Ferreira ao longo da temporada.
“O Abel, além de ser um craque e um dos melhores (treinadores) que temos no país, é o que melhor usa a estrutura do Palmeiras. Ele não usa por necessidade, ele usa por convicção. Quando ele dá ritmo para a molecada no Paulista é para eles amadurecerem. Ele sabe que com Brasileiro, Libertadores e Copa do Brasil, vai precisar de todo mundo. Tem o Allan, Luighi, Thalys… uma molecada dando a resposta que o treinador precisa.”, analisou.
