Foi anunciada pelo Sonic Team nesta quarta-feira (21), uma nova campanha de marca, Racing Around the World, com foco nas características do personagem, velocidade e atitude, como divulgação para o novo game, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds,
Como parte da campanha, a SEGA se uniu a Red Bull e ao piloto de manobras de alta velocidade Brandon Semenuk, tricampeão nacional da American Rally Association e pentacampeão do Red Bull Rampage, para a produção de um filme, segundo informações de comunicado de imprensa.
A produção com ênfase na corrida e manobras radicais é um aquecimento para a chegada de Racing Around the World; como parte da colaboração, o trailer apresenta um novo capítulo da premiada série de filmes da Red Bull, recheado de easter eggs do jogo Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds.

Piloto confessa paixão por games de corrida e Sonic
Considerado o primeiro atleta da história a conquistar cinco títulos do Red Bull Rampage, e acumulando conquistas em sua carreira, Brandon Semenuk se declara um fã de Sonic e dos games de corrida, tendo sido um jogador atuante:
“Antes de entrar em um carro de corrida de verdade, eu já jogava Sonic the Hedgehog, jogos de corrida… na verdade, qualquer coisa que envolvesse velocidade. Foi assim que começou meu gosto por corridas. Tudo começou com pixels e um controle, mas a obsessão por velocidade já estava lá desde o primeiro dia,” revela.
Ele complementa: “Trabalhar com a SEGA neste projeto fechou um ciclo pra mim, de levar a paixão por corridas para as pessoas da mesma forma que aconteceu comigo.”
A campanha Racing Around the World, estrelada por Brandon Semenuk , também pretende anunciar novas parcerias de marca inspiradas em corridas, eventos em jogos mobile, produtos licenciados, entre outras novidades.
