Jack Wilshere has left Norwich City after an interim spell as the club’s head coach.
The former Arsenal and England midfielder oversaw the club’s final two games of the Championship season: a goalless draw against Middlesbrough and a 4-2 win over Cardiff City respectively.
The Athletic reported earlier in May that Wilshere would depart Carrow Road and he would now look to pursue coaching opportunities elsewhere.

Wilshere had been at Norwich as a first-team coach since October after leaving his position as Arsenal’s Under-18s head coach.
Norwich sporting director Ben Knapper said: “Jack made a big impact here in the time he was with us. He built great connections with our players and staff, and we’re all sad to see him move on.
“We were all very grateful for him stepping in as our interim head coach for the final two games of the season, but we understand and respect his desire to further explore opportunities elsewhere.
“He leaves with our very best wishes, and we’ll follow his progress closely. I’ve no doubt he’ll go on to have a very successful coaching career in the senior game.”
In an interview with The Athletic last month, he admitted: “I’m really enjoying the journey. I like to have an end goal in sight, and that is to be a head coach.”
Prior to his first game, a 0-0 draw with Middlesbrough on April 26, Wilshere said: “I’ve been in the role for two and a half days. I feel like I’m ready to make an impact at this level, I want to be a head coach at this level, but if you start thinking too much about that you can get carried away.
“To be offered it, I’d probably have to show Ben that I can make the team perform, and the next two games will give you more answers than speaking to me.”
Four points from the final two games of the season saw Norwich finish 13th in the Championship. Already well off the promotion places, they ended the season 11 points and seven places adrift of the play-offs.
