Palmeiras e Corinthians hoje são duas das equipes de maior investimento e sucesso no Futebol Feminino Brasileiro. As duas equipes acumulam títulos e boas campanhas em Campeonatos Brasileiros, Libertadores Feminina e Paulistão Feminino.
Além de contar com diversas grandes jogadoras na Seleção Brasileira, as equipes paulistas já tem rivalidade consolidada no Futebol Feminino tanto quanto no Masculino. Isso também se deve ao fato de que as equipes já se encontraram em diversas decisões de título ou mata-matas importantes.
O Corinthians, hoje, é mais vitorioso e mantém uma hegemonia no Brasil, sendo maior campeão do Brasileirão Feminino e também da Libertadores Feminina, porém, na última decisão, o Palmeiras levou pra casa o troféu do Paulistão Feminino.
Agora, as duas equipes estarão presentes em torneio inédito nos Estados Unidos. se trata da Teal Rising Cup, torneio amistoso que além de Palmeiras e Corinthians, terá o Kansas City Current e Chicago Stars, e deve ocorrer entre os dias 12 e 15 de julho.
Viagem internacional
O torneio entre as equipes tem como sede os Estados Unidos, e vai ocorrer no Estádio CPKC Stadium, em Kansas City. Essa será a primeira edição do torneio amistoso, que tem como equipe pilar o Kansas City Current.
Tanto Kansas City Current quanto o Chicago Stars são equipes que disputam a NWSL. No elenco do KCC, jogam as brasileiras Bia Zaneratto, ex-Palmeiras, a meio-campista Debinha, e a goleira Lorena, nome frequente nas convocações de Arthur Elias.

O Chicago Stars também tem uma brasileira em seu elenco. A atacante Ludmila é a principal referência ofensiva da equipe, e também é nome constante nas convocações de Arthur Elias.
