Kvalifikaci na Velkou cenu Španělska ovládly mclareny. Z pole position vyjede Piastri vedle Norrise

Nejrychlejší byl v kvalifikaci letos počtvrté lídr šampionátu Piastri. Osamostatnil se díky tomu na první příčce letošních startů z pole position, o níž se dosud dělil s Verstappenem.

„Zatím to byl moc dobrý víkend. Děkuji týmu za tvrdou práci. V posledním kole se mi podařilo zlepšit v první zatáčce, byl jsem rychlejší v první polovině kola a pak už jen udržel tempo. Zítra to bude zajímavý závod a jsem rád, že do něj budu startovat z pole position,“ popisoval kvalifikaci ze svého pohledu Piastri.

Týmového kolegu chválil při rozhovoru v cíli i Norris, který na Australana ztrácí v šampionátu jezdců tři body. „Oscar jel velmi dobře, já jsem udělal několik menších chybiček, ale pro tým je to dobrý výsledek. Doufám, že se mi závod podaří, ale první zatáčka tady bývá zajímavá tak uvidíme, jak se závod vyvine.“

Jako vítěz se radoval domácí pilot Fernando Alonso z Aston Martinu. Ten zajel ve finální části kvalifikace slušný čas a vychutnával si následné kolečko, při němž mával na fanoušky a slavil, přestože skončil desátý.

Na konci Q1 měl technický problém Franco Colapinto z Alpinu. Ve výjezdu z boxové uličky zastavil a nedokázal se znovu rozjet, čímž zablokoval ostatní piloty, kteří stáli ve frontě za ním. Nakonec odstavil vůz za výjezdem z uličky a do druhé části nepostoupil.

Stejně tak nepostoupil ani domácí jezdec Williamsu Carlos Sainz nebo parťák Maxe Verstappena z Red Bullu Júki Cunoda. Ten od příchodu do stáje dokázal postoupit do třetí části kvalifikace pouze třikrát. Dvakrát skončil v Q2 a v Imole pro něj kvalifikace skončila bouračkou v Q1. Tentokrát poprvé nepostoupil z úvodní části vinou pomalého času.

Z druhé části nepostoupil ani zbylý pilot Williamsu Alex Albon nebo Liam Lawson, jehož v Red Bullu nahradil Cunoda a v Monaku si připsal své první body v sezoně.

V Barceloně vyhrál v posledních 10 závodech devětkrát pilot startující z první řady, minulý rok závod ovládl po startu z druhého místa Verstappen před druhým Norrisem. Zda se tato série prodlouží, se dozvíme už v neděli. Závod má naplánovaný start na 15:00.

Formule 1 2025

Letošní sezona seriálu formule 1 začala 16. března Velkou cenou Austrálie a končí 7. prosince v Abú Zabí. Titul mezi jezdci obhajuje Nizozemec Max Verstappen z Red Bullu a mezi stájemi britský McLaren.
