V dramatické třetí sadě získala náskok poté, co využila za stavu 4:4 čtvrtý brejkbol. Poté čtyři brejkboly při vlastním servisu odvrátila a proměnila první mečbol. Ve čtvrtfinále narazí na šestou nasazenou Rusku Mirru Andrejevovou, která zdolala Darju Kasatkinovou z Austrálie 6:3, 7:5.
Jednatřicetiletá Pegulaová nevyužila šanci vyrovnat postupem do čtvrtfinále své maximum z roku 2022.

Finalistka turnaje z roku 2022 Gauffová vyhrála devátý z deseti posledních zápasů. Přemožitelka českých tenistek Terezy Valentové a Marie Bouzkové z předchozích kol pokračuje bez ztráty setu. Před Roland Garros byla ve finále antukových turnajů v Madridu a Římě.
Gauffová měla stejně jako ve 3. kole proti Bouzkové vydařený úvod. Alexandrovové povolila v prvním setu jen 14 fiftýnů a nadělila jí „kanára“. Ve druhém setu sice nevyužila vedení 4:3 s brejkem, v 11. gamu ale soupeřce vzala servis znovu a poté proměnila při svém podání druhý mečbol. V boji o postup do druhého semifinále za sebou ji čeká americký souboj s Madison Keysovou, nebo Hailey Baptisteovou.
Andrejevová obhajuje semifinálovou účast. Přemožitelku Kateřiny Siniakové z 1. kola Kasatkinovou předčila v poměru vítězných míčů 28:13. Osmnáctiletá Ruska je nejmladší tenistkou od roku 1998, která obhájila na Roland Garros čtvrtfinálovou účast. Naposledy se to povedlo Martině Hingisové.
Mezi muži postoupil do pátého pařížského čtvrtfinále za sebou Němec Alexander Zverev. Loňský finalista a třetí hráč světa postoupil po skreči Nizozemce Tallona Griekspoora za stavu 6:3, 3:0.
