This was confirmed by Alex Rodriguez, who remembers that time between 2003 and 2006, when it seemed that in baseball only two teams could win, the Yankees and the Red Sox. These two teams faced each other 94 times in that span. The matchup resulted in 49 wins for the Yankees and 45 for the Red Sox.
