Nas próximas semanas, uma nova competição vai empolgar os torcedores de quatro clubes do Brasil: o Super Mundial de Clubes, torneio que terá sua primeira edição disputada nos Estados Unidos. Botafogo, Flamengo, Palmeiras e Fluminense vão representar o futebol brasileiro e embarcam em breve para o país norte-americano.
O Glorioso conquistou a vaga no momento em que sagrou-se campeão da Copa Libertadores em 2024. Desde então, o dono da SAF botafoguense, John Textor, focou em substituir à altura os jogadores que acabaram deixando o Rio de Janeiro depois da conquista inédita.
Às vésperas do Mundial e já podendo registrar novos atletas, o Botafogo, que teve o nome ligado ao português Cristiano Ronaldo, deve contratar o atacante Joaquín Correa, que está de saída da Internazionale, de Milão. O argentino deixará o clube europeu e pode assinar com o Fogão sem custos de transferência.

Quem é Joaquín Correa?
Aos 30 anos, Joaquín Correa acaba de ser vice-campeão da Champions League com a camisa da Inter de Milão. O atleta sequer entrou na grande final, onde os italianos acabaram sofrendo uma goleada por 5 a 0 contra o PSG. Na atual temporada, o argentino disputou 22 partidas, onde marcou dois gols e deu três assistências.
Recentemente, foi divulgado que o Internacional teria interesse em Correa, mas as negociações acabaram não avançando. Neste meio tempo, o Botafogo aguardou o final da temporada europeia e, após o desfecho das competições, as conversas evoluíram. Ainda não se sabe ao certo se o jogador chegará a tempo para disputar o Super Mundial pelo Fogão.
Além da Internazionale, Joaquín Correa também vestiu a camisa da Lazio e da Sampdoria no futebol italiano. Ainda na Europa, defendeu as cores do Sevilla, da Espanha, e do Olympique de Marseille, da França. O atacante foi revelado pelo Estudiantes, da Argentina, e disputou a Copa América de 2021 pela seleção do seu país.
