A seleção brasileira feminina venceu o Japão nos dois amistosos realizados na última Data FIFA. O primeiro, foi realizado na Neo Química Arena, em São Paulo, e o segundo, no Estádio Cicero de Souza Marques, em Bragança Paulista.
No primeiro duelo, o Brasil fez grande atuação e venceu com placar de 3 a 1. A partida marcou o retorno de Marta para a seleção brasileira após um ano. A Rainha não jogava pela seleção desde as Olimpíadas de Paris.
Já na segunda partida, a seleção brasileira feminina bateu o Japão novamente, dessa vez com placar de 2 a 1. Nos amistosos preparatórios, o Brasil teve diversos destaques individuais, incluindo as jovens Dudinha, Gio e Jhonson.
