Neymar será desfalque do Santos nos próximos dias. Neste sábado, o clube emitiu nota na qual revelou que o meia-atacante foi diagnosticado com Covid e não participará das atividades no CT Rei Pelé até se recuperar totalmente.
O diagnóstico
Segundo o clube, o atleta teve a doença revelada em exames feitos neste final de semana, depois de ser avaliado inicialmente por conta de um quadro de gripe. O problema já havia sido apresentado durante a semana, o que fez com que o clube fizesse os testes e prontamente o afastasse de qualquer trabalho assim que o resultado saiu.
“Com quadro viral diagnosticado nesta quinta-feira (5), o atleta Neymar Jr foi submetido a exames laboratoriais, após avaliação do Departamento Médico do Santos FC, que confirmaram a infecção por Covid-19. O jogador já está afastado das atividades desde quinta, quando iniciaram-se os sintomas, e seguirá em repouso em sua casa, em tratamento sintomático, por determinação médica”, diz a nota do clube.
Volta e indefinição sobre futuro
Por conta do sintomas, o camisa 10 não tem treinado desde quinta-feira no CT e, agora, terá que ficar em recuperação em sua residência até que os sintomas cedam e novos testes indiquem que o jogador do Peixe já não está mais com a Covid ativa. Não há previsão de quanto tempo o ídolo santista estará fora das atividades.
E um potencial retorno aos treinos ainda se dará com a ‘novela’ sobre sua permanência na Vila Belmiro. Por enquanto, não há qualquer certeza sobre se Neymar ficará ou não no clube, com as conversas da renovação de seu contrato, que se encerra no dia 30, sendo conversada entre o clube e o estafe do jogador.
Por estar suspenso devido à expulsão contra o Botafogo, o camisa 10 não enfrentaria na quinta-feira (12) o Fortaleza, pelo Brasileirão, na última partida do Santos antes da pausa para a Copa do Mundo de Clubes. Além disto, também não poderá seguir com uma uma visita à concentração da seleção brasileira em São Paulo, esta que estava programada para domingo (8), isto por conta da Covid.
