Cristiano Ronaldo não vai participar da Copa do Mundo de Clubes. Nas semanas anteriores, CR7 viu seu nome ser cogitado como um reforço pontual em alguns clubes, como Palmeiras, Flamengo, Fluminense e Botafogo, para a disputa do torneio internacional. Entretanto, o jogador do Al-Nassr tratou logo de esclarecer que sua prioridade é outra no momento.
Antes da final da Liga das Nações entre Portugal e Espanha, o craque português confirmou que foram muitos os convites e agradeceu o interesse destes, mas revelou que esta é uma decisão praticamente já tomada.
“Sim, houve muitos convites recebidos e propostas, mas está praticamente decidido e eu não estarei no Mundial. Há momentos em que você precisa pensar a médio, curto e longo prazo. Mas tive muitos convites, isso é um fato”, afirmou o centroavante, em entrevista coletiva neste sábado (7).
Cristiano Ronaldo tem contrato vigente com o Al-Nassr até o final do primeiro semestre de 2026 e ainda não decidiu se irá ou não renovar com o clube saudita. Aos 40 anos, o astro tem como objetivo alcançar a marca de mil gols. Com 937, seriam ainda necessários mais 63 tentos para a meta ser cumprida.

Há algumas semanas, Gianni Infantino, presidente da Fifa, revelou que Cristiano Ronaldo negociava para jogar o Mundial de Clubes, mas sem mencionar nomes. CR7 falou publicamente que foi procurado por times da Argentina para disputar o torneio. Vale lembrar que Boca Juniors e River Plate são os representantes argentinos.
“Tenho muito carinho pela Argentina, minha mulher é argentina. Como não posso ter um carinho especial? Recebi convites para jogar o Mundial de Clubes na Argentina”, disse Cristiano Ronaldo.
Bola de Ouro para Lamine Yamal?
Na mesma entrevista coletiva, Cristiano Ronaldo também foi perguntado a respeito de Lamine Yamal, jovem espanhol de apenas 17 anos e cotado para ser eleito o melhor jogador da temporada. O português, porém, considera essencial a conquista da Champions como fundamental na escolha.
“Os prêmios individuais perderam um pouco o consenso de merecimento.” Para mim, quem deveria ganhar é quem se destaca e ganha a Champions. Ele tem potencial, sem dúvida alguma. Se seguir assim, três, quatro anos fáceis… ele, Mbappé, Dembélé, Vitinha…”, opinou CR7.
