Zenit se dispõe a pagar multa por Gerson, e permanência no Flamengo depende do jogador

A permanência de Gerson no Flamengo está por um fio. O Zenit, da Rússia, comunicou que está preparado para arcar com a multa rescisória do volante, estipulada em 25 milhões de euros (cerca de R$ 159 milhões). Agora, cabe ao atleta decidir se aceita ou não a proposta do clube europeu.

O interesse russo reacendeu após a recente renovação contratual de Gerson com o Flamengo, em abril, que estendeu o vínculo até 2030. Embora tenha recebido um reajuste salarial, o jogador teve sua multa rescisória para transferências internacionais reduzida de 200 milhões de euros para os atuais 25 milhões. A diminuição foi uma forma de compensação oferecida pelo clube, já que os valores salariais propostos não alcançaram o patamar pretendido pelo atleta. As informações são do GE.

Apesar da disposição do Zenit em quitar integralmente a multa, o Flamengo exige que o pagamento seja feito à vista. A equipe russa, inicialmente, tentou negociar o parcelamento da quantia, mas indicou que, se necessário, fará o depósito integral para concluir a operação. As tratativas seguem em andamento.

E o Mundial de Clubes?

Caso a transferência se concretize, a saída de Gerson ocorreria somente após a disputa do Flamengo no Mundial de Clubes. Internamente, o jogador vê com bons olhos a mudança, principalmente pela atratividade financeira da proposta e pelo impacto que a experiência internacional pode ter na sua carreira visando a Copa do Mundo de 2026.

O clube carioca, por sua vez, reafirma que não pretende liberar nenhum atleta neste momento, a menos que a cláusula de rescisão seja cumprida integralmente e que haja vontade expressa do jogador em deixar o elenco.

Namoro antigo

O interesse do Zenit em Gerson não é novidade. Em fevereiro, os russos já haviam tentado contratá-lo por um valor até superior ao da multa atual, chegando a oferecer 29 milhões de euros, entre valores fixos e metas.

Na época, no entanto, o volante optou por seguir no Rubro-Negro e negociar a renovação de contrato.
