Caitlin Clark is well on her way to become one of the best WNBA players ever, and she’s just in her second season as a professional.
She has played four games so far during the 2025 regular season, where she’s averaging 19 points per game with six rebounds, 9.3 assists and 1.3 steals with one block.
Caitlin Clark celebrates a milestone that only Michael Jordan and her have achieved
Clark entered the year as the betting favorite (+195) to win the MVP award, giving her an implied probability of 33.9% in her second season. More than half (52.7%) of the tickets are on Caitlin to win the award over A’ja Wilson (+200) and Napheesa Collier (+250).
Clark celebrates a Jordanesque milestone
Caitlin Clark and Wilson partnered to launch a new basketball line, the result of months-long conversations between the WNBA star and the brand about who the baller is, what she likes and what messages she wants to send to younger generations.
The four ball collection features one indoor-only ball, one outdoor-only and two that can be used either indoors or outdoors. Wilson‘s “The Embrace” is an Evo NXT basketball, meaning it has the “same construction as a regulation W ball and could be used in official games.”
In that way, Clark joined Michael Jordan as the only athletes with full basketball collections for Wilson, signing a multiyear sponsorship deal in May 2024 with the official manufacturer of basketballs for the WNBA, NBA and NCAA. That right there puts Caitlin in some exclusive club that some basketball players can only dream of.
Changing women’s basketball forever
To many experts and fans, Caitlin Clark is single-handedly changing women’s basketball. She is an extremely talented guard for the Indiana Fever – she played college basketball for the Iowa Hawkeyes – whose skills and leadership have been a driving force in the sport.
Right now, though, she’s been out for two weeks after she suffered a quad strain. Caitlin will not play in Tuesday’s game at Atlanta, Indiana Fever coach Stephanie White said on Monday. The superstar needs to be re-evaluated and it would be up to the team’s medical staff to clear her.
Fans are eager to see Clark back on the court, as the young baller has proven that she can carry the WNBA to new heights with her spectacular way of playing and her desire to win, which reminds a lot of fans about legendary Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant.
