Uma das principais negociações do futebol brasileiro nos últimos anos foi a contratação de Vitor Roque pelo Palmeiras, vindo do Barcelona. O atacante chegou em fevereiro deste ano, custando 25,5 milhões de euros (R$ 154 milhões). Com isso, se tornou a transferência mais cara da história do nosso futebol, superando os 19,5 milhões de euros pagos pelo Botafogo em Thiago Almada.
O jogador chegou ao Verdão valorizado muito mais pelo que ele fez no início da carreira, com a camisa do Athletico. Isso porque, ele mal conseguiu jogar no clube Catalão, sendo emprestado no ano passado ao Betis. Custou 30 milhões de euros ao Barça, mas fez apenas 16 jogos, sendo que só dois foram como titular.
Dirigente do Barcelona admite erro
Um dos grandes ídolos da história do Barcelona, o brasileiro Deco atualmente é dirigente de futebol no clube Catalão, onde atuou entre 2004 e 2008. Então, em entrevista ao “ge”, o ex-jogador foi sincero ao falar sobre a passagem de Vitor Roque por lá. Para ele, foi um erro a chegada do jogador em janeiro de 2024, quando a temporada europeia estava em andamento.
Deco acredita que o atacante do Palmeiras deveria ter chegado depois e que essa contratação precoce acabou prejudicando o atleta. O dirigente avalia que esses primeiros seis meses de Vitor foram ruins no clube espanhol, mas faz uma autocrítica, entendendo que faltou um cuidado maior do clube em não conseguir identificar os problemas que ele estava tendo de adaptação e até mesmo de cabeça.
Na sequência Deco traça um paralelo dessa passagem do Vitor Roque no Barcelona com a dificuldade que Endrick vem tendo para atuar com frequência no Real Madrid, entendendo que é algo esperado. “Ir cedo para a Europa é sempre complicado. Ainda mais para Barcelona ou Real Madrid. O Endrick jogou muitos jogos, mas também não teve tantas oportunidades. Estamos falando de clubes que são o máximo que se pode chegar na carreira. Tão jovens, não é fácil. Às vezes as coisas não funcionam”, opinou.

Vitor Roque estreou no Verdão na fase final do Paulistão, sendo decisivo na semifinal, sofrendo o pênalti que deu o gol da vitória. O atacante, porém, ainda não deslanchou como era esperado e pelo alto investimento que foi feito. Ele ainda oscila entre bons jogos e partidas irregulares, sendo reserva de Flaco López em algumas ocasiões. Ao todo, fez 19 jogos pelo Alviverde, marcando três gols.
Revelado pelo Cruzeiro, o jogador teve uma curta passagem pela Raposa, sendo comprado pelo Athletico-PR. No clube paranaense, então, se destacou, onde foi vice-campeão da Libertadores e convocado para a seleção brasileira. Era comparado com Endrick no início da carreira e acabou vendido ao Barcelona. Por lá, porém, não conseguiu jogar com frequência e acabou emprestado ao Betis, antes de ser vendido ao Palmeiras.
