In den spanischen Medien hieß es zuletzt, die Unterschrift von Joan Garcia (24) beim FC Barcelona sei nur noch Formsache. Von seinem Klub Espanyol Barcelona gibt es zum Wechsel des Star-Torwarts nun aber verwirrende Aussagen.
„In der vergangenen Woche gab es viel Wirbel. Aber das ist auch alles: Wirbel. Es ist nichts passiert. Joan Garcia ist derzeit Spieler von Espanyol“, stellte Espanyol-CEO Mao Ye Wu während einer Medienrunde am Wochenende klar.
[–>Und weiter: „Wir hatten seit dem letzten Spiel keinen Kontakt mehr zum Spieler. Die Spieler sind im Urlaub und wir versuchen, diese Ruhephase allen gleichermaßen zu gewähren. Wir versuchen, andere Verträge abzuschließen, aber wir hatten keinen Kontakt zu Joan.“
Ist der Wechsel des Star-Torwarts nach Katalonien doch noch nicht in trockenen Tüchern?
In den vergangenen Tagen berichtete unter anderem die spanische Zeitung „Mundo Deportivo“, dass Garcia dem FC Barcelona für einen Wechsel bereits zugesagt habe. Der Spanier, der bereits im vergangenen Jahr in der spanischen Olympia-Auswahl stand, will bei Barça den nächsten Schritt gehen und zum Nationaltorwart reifen.

Barcelona zieht für ihn angeblich die Ausstiegsklausel in Höhe von 25 Millionen Euro. Beim spanischen Meister soll er einen Fünfjahresvertrag bis 2030 unterschreiben.
Zudem berichtet „Catalunya Ràdio“, dass Barça weiterhin mit Hochdruck an dem Transfer bastele und die letzten Vorbereitungen treffe. Am Mittwoch soll die Unterschrift erfolgen.
FC Barcelona: Ersetzt Garcia nächste Saison ter Stegen?
Möglich, dass Garcia schon als Nachfolger für Marc-André ter Stegen (33) geholt wird. Zuletzt hatten spanische Medien über einen Abgang des Deutschen spekuliert. Demnach habe Barça-Präsident Joan Laporta (62) grünes Licht für einen ter-Stegen-Wechsel gegeben.
Weiter heißt es, dass sich der DFB-Keeper nur noch mit der Reservistenrolle zufriedengeben müsse, sobald der Transfer von Joan Garcia durch ist. Gespräche über ter Stegens Zukunft bei Barça stehen noch aus.
