Depois de um início ruim no Campeonato Brasileiro, com apenas quatro vitórias em 11 rodadas disputadas, o Corinthians pretende ir ao mercado da bola para fechar a contratação de alguns reforços para que o clube consiga mudar o atual panorama. Um dos nomes em pauta é o do lateral-direito Igor Vinícius, que está de saída do São Paulo. O ex-jogador Muller não vê com bons olhos a contratação.
Em participação no programa “Mesa Redonda”, da TV Gazeta, no último domingo (8), o comentarista esportivo, torcedor declarado do São Paulo, comentou a provável contratação do atleta de 28 anos pelo rival Corinthians. “Graças a Deus que o Igor Vinícius vai sair do São Paulo. É um jogador fraco. O Matheuzinho é muito melhor do que ele”, disse, ao comparar o atleta com o titular da lateral corintiana.
Igor Vinícius tem contrato com o São Paulo até dezembro desse ano, mas não vem sendo utilizado com frequência pelo técnico Luis Zubeldía. Por isso, o Tricolor não dificultaria a saída do atleta, que também desperta o interesse de outras equipes do futebol brasileiro.
Muller prevê dificuldades para Dorival Júnior no Timão
Ainda de acordo com a avaliação de Muller, o Corinthians terá muito trabalho na sequência da temporada. Segundo ele, o técnico Dorival Júnior precisa se preocupar e pressionar a diretoria para a contratação de reforços, pois sem novos jogadores com qualidade, o clube ficará mais uma ano ameaçado pelo rebaixamento no Brasileirão.
“O Dorival tem que se preocupar, o torcedor corintiano também. Essa parada (para a Copa do Mundo de Clubes) vai dar um refresco. Mas a preocupação continua. Tem que reforçar o time. Se o Corinthians não ajeitar a casa, no Brasileirão você sabe como é, o sarrafo é lá em cima”, alertou o comentarista da TV Gazeta.
Último compromisso do Corinthians antes da parada
Atual 11º colocado na tabela de classificação do Brasileirão, o Timão se despede da competição antes da parada para a Copa do Mundo de Clubes da Fifa em partida pela 12ª rodada, contra o Grêmio, na arena do rival gaúcho, marcada para esta quinta-feira (12), às 20h (horário de Brasília).

Negociado por empréstimo até o fim do ano com o Grêmio, o meio-campista, que não vinha tendo muito espaço com Dorival Júnior, se despediu do clube e agradeceu aos torcedores. Alex Santana permaneceu no elenco do Corinthians por pouco menos de um ano. Vale lembrar que ele tem contrato com o time paulista até o fim de 2027.
