Ao pegar a lista de times que estarão presentes no Mundial de Clubes da Fifa, que começa no sábado, dia 14 de junho, os torcedores brasileiros já sabem que os quatro representantes verde e amarelo terão um difícil caminho a ser trilhado em busca do almejado título. Mas qual deles terá mais chances? A plataforma de dados voltado para esportes, Opta Analyts, trouxe os números nesta segunda-feira.
Enquanto o Flamengo chega como o brasileiro com maior possibilidade de passar na fase de grupos, o Palmeiras é o clube com mais chances de se destacar nas oitavas de final. De acordo com a lista, o rubro-negro tem 51,8% de probabilidade de passar no grupo D, em que enfrentará o Espèrance da Tunísia, o Chelsea-ING e o León-MEX, respectivamente. Palmeiras está próximo, com 51,3% de chances.
Na fase de mata mata as chances de progressão no torneio caem bastante, mas o Palmeiras se destaca com 15% de probabilidade de passar, contra 14,4% do Flamengo.
Botafogo e Fluminense estão mais distantes do pelotão de cima, de acordo com os dados. Enquanto o tricolor tem 39,4% de chances de passar na primeira fase, o alvinegro não fica em 15,6%.
“O supercomputador simulou a Copa do Mundo de Clubes da FIFA 2025 concorrência 10.000 vezes e o modelo de previsão Opta essas descobertas e confirmaram suas porcentagens pré-torneio”, explica a plataforma.
Se as chances de passar no mata mata já são pequenas, a de se tornar campeão beira o impossível, de acordo com os dados.
Nas simulações criadas pelo sistema da Opta, Botafogo e Fluminense têm menos chances de se tornarem campeãs do que clubes historicamente inferiores, como os norte-americanos Seattle Sounders (primeiro rival de Botafogo no torneio) e Inter Miami.
Entre os clubes com chances de título, Palmeiras e Flamengo ficam em 13º e 14º, respectivamente, dos 32. Ambos teriam 0,3% de chances de levantar o caneco. Já Fluminense e Botafogo não conseguiram ter resultados positivos na simulação e puxam a fila das equipes sem chances de ganhar, segundo as simulações. Ambos são os 24º e 25º colocados.
Embora as chances sejam pequenas, a plataforma também aponta que os atuais líder e vice do Brasileirão podem correr por fora pelo título, assim como outras três equipes.
“Além do grupo líder de 11 equipes, há cinco equipes globais equipes que o supercomputador acha que poderiam desfrutar de um bom torneio, Mesmo que o sistema espere ir até o fim para vencer, ele provará além deles. Esses lados são Al-Hilal, Inter Miami, River, Palmeiras e Flamengo. Esse quinteto foi muito bem combinado em nosso modelo preditivo nas semanas que antecederam o torneio, trocando de posição regularmente enquanto executamos nossas projeções”, aponta o levantamento.
Da outra ponta, o PSG (18,5%) e Manchester City (17,8%) são os favoritos ao título. Embora estejam com uma probabilidade menor de passar na fase de grupos do que outros clubes, a partir das oitavas de final o protagonismo dos europeus tomam conta de vez do torneio.
