Sormani discordou da provável escalação da seleção brasileira de Carlo Ancelotti para o jogo contra o Paraguai e sugeriu mudanças. Para o jornalista, Gerson, do Flamengo, deveria ir para o banco de reservas na partida em Itaquera e abrir espaço para um quarteto ofensivo formado com Estêvão, jovem estrela do Palmeiras.
“Eu faria o seguinte: eu tiraria o Gerson, passaria o Raphinha para o meio e colocaria o Estêvão (na ponta-direita)”, disse o comentarista, no programa “Opinião Placar”. Sendo assim, a equipe ficaria dessa forma em um 4-2-3-1: Alisson; Vanderson, Marquinhos, Alex e Alex Sandro; Casemiro e Bruno Guimarães; Estêvão, Raphinha e Vinicius Júnior; Matheus Cunha.
Diferente da opinião de Sormani, Ancelotti deve escalar o mesmo meio de campo da partida contra o Equador, com Casemiro, Bruno Guimarães e Gerson. Além disso, Estêvão possivelmente dará lugar a Raphinha, do Barcelona, que retorna de suspensão.
Sormani cogita outras mudanças no time
O jornalista criticou o desempenho do atacante Richarlison na seleção brasileira. Depois de muito tempo fora, o atacante do Tottenham voltou a ser convocado, porém teve uma atuação ruim no empate sem gols diante o Equador, especialmente pelo lance em que furou a bola após jogada de Vinícius Júnior pelo lado esquerdo.
Neste cenário, Sormani opinou que Yuri Alberto, do Corinthians, e Pedro, do Flamengo, seriam opções melhores para ocupar a posição na seleção. Ambos os citados são bem avaliados e existe a chance de Ancelotti dar oportunidades em breve, principalmente para o camisa 9 do Rubro-Negro, que está entrando em ritmo após lesão grave em 2024.
Richarlison deve ir para o banco de reservas depois da má atuação. Matheus Cunha, comprado pelo Manchester United recentemente, é cotado para começar o jogo contra o Paraguai, nesta terça-feira (10), na Neo Química Arena, o estádio do Corinthians, às 21h45 (de Brasília).

Ainda sem classificação garantida para a Copa do Mundo do ano que vem, o Brasil pode atingir o objetivo em caso de vitória nesta semana. Neste momento, a seleção soma 22 pontos e ocupa a quarta posição na classificação geral.
Com 34 pontos, a Argentina de Lionel Messi está mais do que assegurada no Mundial. O Equador e o Paraguai vêm logo em seguida, ambos com 24 pontos. Faltam apenas quatro jogos para o fim da competição e os classificados estão perto da definição.
