O Flamengo desembarcou na manhã desta quinta-feira nos Estados Unidos para a disputa do Mundial de Clubes da Fifa. A delegação rubro-negra chegou às 9h43 (horário de Brasília) em Atlantic City após ficarem mais de oito horas em um voo fretado — o embarque aconteceu por volta das 23h da última quarta-feira.
Nos Estados Unidos, os treinos serão nas instalações da Universidade de Stockton, em Nova Jersey, e, inclusive, a primeira atividade deve ser já na tarde desta sexta-feira.
O grupo rubro-negro que viajou para os Estados Unidos conta com 29 dos 31 jogadores relacionados pelo treinador Filipe Luís. As únicas ausências são do zagueiro João Victor e do meia Matheus Gonçalves, que vão diretamente para Atlantic City após servirem à seleção brasileira sub-20.
O rubro-negro estreia no Mundial na próxima segunda (16), às 22h (de Brasília), contra o Espérance (Tunísia). O jogo será disputada no Lincoln Financial Field, na Filadélfia.
