Gabriella Zuniga, the OnlyFans creator who has filed a $50 million civil lawsuit against Shannon Sharpe accusing him of sexual assault, has stirred further controversy by offering her sex tape to subscribers who tip over $2000.
The 21-year-old, known online as “Karli”, is also accusing the NFL Hall of Famer of emotional distress and coercive behavior during what she describes as a relationship spanning from 2023 to early 2025.
However, her decision to market adult content in the midst of such serious allegations has triggered divided public reaction as some use it to question her credibility, although others argue it is simply a continuation of her career as an adult content creator.
Zuniga has not clarified whether the video involves Sharpe but considering the legal proceedings, it’s highly unlikely she would make such a controversial move that could damage her case.
The announcement comes at a sensitive juncture in her ongoing legal case against Sharpe, ultimately raising questions about the implications of her digital content on the public’s perception of the lawsuit.
Represented by Tony Buzbee, Zuniga has alleged a pattern of abuse and manipulation by Sharpe, including non-consensual recording of intimate encounters and threats of violence.
Buzbee, who represented clients against the Cleveland Browns’ Deshaun Watson and also against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, has released audio that purportedly features Sharpe stating he would “choke” the young woman.
However, the 56-year-old’s legal team, led by attorney Lanny Davis, has categorically denied the allegations, characterizing the lawsuit as an extortion attempt.
Davis has released a series of explicit text messages that suggest a consensual relationship between the two, including a message in which Zuniga allegedly expresses a desire to have Sharpe‘s child.
In court documents, she claims to have met the former NFL star at a gym in Los Angeles when she was 19, detailing how their relationship escalated from voluntary interaction to psychological and emotional manipulation.
Sharpe cancels tour amid legal drama
The legal and public relations fallout from the lawsuit has been significant as Sharpe was reportedly close to securing a $100 million media contract before the lawsuit surfaced.
Following the allegations, he stepped away from his role on ESPN’s First Take and postponed his scheduled his Nightcap podcast summer tour with his co-host, Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson.
“We’ve decided to postpone the Nightcap tour,” Sharpe said. “We look forward to seeing you guys in the summer of 2026. It’s going to be even bigger, even better.”
Sharpe has denied any wrongdoing, but the timing has cast a long shadow over his career trajectory, yet he announced plans to return to ESPN later this year for the 2025/26 NFL season. Obviously that is dependent on how this legal situation plays out in the courtroom.
