O Palmeiras terá na Copa do Mundo de Clubes, na qual estreia no domingo (15) diante do Porto, a grande chance de poder conquistar o título que tanto sonha. Mas também poderá ter que lidar com uma consequência de tal presença no certame: o assédio a atletas de seu elenco
Por conta dos sucessos do Verdão nos últimos anos, vários jogadores do atual elenco aparecem ou apareceram em especulações para deixar o Palestra Itália. E a exposição que o Mundial de Clubes dará ao time já deixa sua principal dirigente ciente de que sondagens a atletas poderão se intensificar durante ou depois do torneio.
Sem receio de ofertas
Em entrevista coletiva no hotel em que o time está hospedado, em Greensboro (EUA), a presidente palmeirense, Leila Pereira, afirmou que ‘não tem receio’ de que seus atletas possam ser sondados por conta da presença na competição. Algo que vê como natural pela importância do Mundial, mas garantiu que nada acontecerá em termos de negociações sem sua ciência.
“Todo ano e toda janela, nossos profissionais recebem interesses. Fico feliz em poder participar desta Copa do Mundo porque valoriza o trabalho de todos nós. Não tenho receio de assédio nenhum a atletas ou treinador, porque no Palmeiras o contrato tem validade. Todos tem contratos aqui e, como o clube honra os seus compromissos, os atletas também precisam”, disse Leila.
Para vender, tem que interessar
Já negociado com o Chelsea bem antes do Mundial, Estevão é a única saída já definida do Palmeiras para depois do torneio. Mas há diversos nomes que estão sempre na lista de especulados, dentre os jogadores um deles sendo Richard Ríos, este a despertar o interesse europeu. Além, claro, da insistência no interesse de outros clubes por Abel Ferreira, com o qual a mandatária palmeirense deseja sua renovação.
A postura da dirigente do Verdão quanto à propostas se mostrou irredutível na coletiva. Para a dirigente, somente se a oferta apresentada for de interesse tanto do clube como do jogador é que uma venda potencialmente poderá acontecer. Caso contrário, a proposta será ignorada.
“Para ser negociado, precisa ser do interesse do atleta, do Palmeiras e algum interessado. Se não tiver interesse de alguma parte, o negócio não sai. Me baseio nos contratos em vigor”, afirmou Leila.
